We are a group of concerned citizens who are out to make a difference in our communites by rescuing as many abandoned cats and dogs as possible in order to grant them the chance to live the lives they have been given. We wish to educate the public on the need for spay and neutering, humane care, and the unconditional love that these animals have to offer in exchange for offering them a safe haven in their homes and hearts.
Come Visit Us!!!!
All of our animals are in foster care homes throughout the upper cumberland. Many older cats ready for adoption are housed at the PETCO feline habitat in Cookeville (PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING AN OLDER PET FIRST...we know that they are cute as pups and kittens...but the older ones need your help more than the babies). If you would like to schedule a meeting, contact us and we can setup a time and place to meet, or you can visit us at PETCO in Jackson Plaza - Cookeville. on Saturday from Noon-6:00PM. From Interstate 40: Head North on TN-135/S. Willow Avenue toward Foreman Drive 1.6 Miles. Turn Left on W. Jackson. Jackson Plaza is on your left side - Petco is on the West side of the plaza.
How the adoption process works
Most animals are required to be adopted to homes that will keep them indoors. the majority of the time There are some exceptions. We require an approved application or interview, and a signed contract by both parties, and on some occasions a home inspection. Our goal is to avoid any animal ending up in a high-kill shelter. All of our animals MUST be spayed or neutered before going to your home. Overpopulation and euthanasia will continue unless we all work together in an attempt to control it. If you are interested in one of our animals, or are looking for a particular breed of animal, contact us! If we don't have what you're looking for, we'll help you find it. Of course we would LOVE it if you adopted through our organization, but more importantly, would love it if you adopted a homeless pet - no matter what group the animal is with.
News!!
We're excited to be rescuing animals from Putnam, Cumberland, Overton, and any other counties that may need our assistance, assuming foster homes are available. We have signed on with a veterinary clinic in each area to service typical and emergency needs, and are ALWAYS looking for good foster homes to assist in taking care of these little angels.
